<p>where do you hail from? There are trains that come into San Jose Diridon station from all over the place (SF, Sacramento, LA etc.) From Diridon there is a bus called the highway 17 bus that will take you right into the Santa Cruz Metro Station.</p>

<p>yes there is a train:
it is by the amtrak, specifically the 14 Coast Starlight. I believe it run’s once a day- it arrives at San Jose and you will need to take the 17 bus.</p>
<p>This is true, but it’s like a 9 or 10 hour trip, AND more expensive than flying Southwest. Get a $50 flight from Burbank (my fav) or LAX and get a friend to pick you up at the airport. :)</p>
