What's the quickest way to get from campus to SFO and vice versa?
Should I take the 51 to BART and take BART to SFO? (If that's possible...?)

Take the BART to Fremont, get off at MacArther, transfer to the one heading to the airport, get off at SFI.

Yup. Many bus lines will take you to the Downtown Berkeley BART station. Then you just take either the SFO line directly to SFO, or you take the Fremont line and transfer @ MacArthur.

ohhh ok thanks so much you guys!
so there’s a train that ends up exactly at SFO? (no need for shuttle or anything?)

Yes. It’s not like Oakland with the AirBART. At SFO, you end up in one of the parking garages and take an airport tram to your terminal.

awesome! anyone know the approx time it takes ?

i think it’s something like an hour to an hour and a half.

Actually, if you take a BART from Downtown Berkeley, there’s no straight BART to SFO. You’ll have to get off and switch at some point. But if you take Rockridge BART (on College and Miles, which you can take the 51 to), the yellow line goes straight to SFO. It drops you off inside the airport, which is nice and very convenient. I usually take that route, and I find it saves me some time.

If you want more info on transportation, go to 511.org, they have all the Bay Area transit info.
