Saw a woman with one of these backpacks at the bus stop this morning. Looked very professional!

LOL, that’s sort of hilarious - and that you noticed!

I saw that she was putting her laptop into the wide mouth on the top and recognized the bag!

That’s awesome, Bunsen. lol

I showed my new backpack to my work colleague (explaining how it made carrying my laptop up 9 flights of office stairs so much easier!). She ordered one five minutes later, LOL!

Got mine today. The online pics are accurate. Very lightweight but padded nicely. It’s not golfing to replace a fine leather tote or anything but there is LOTS of storage and it really opens up so you can find things easily - it’s surprisingly roomy!

That’s great, abasket!

Not in the clothing line per se, (mod, please delete if not appropriate), but when I retired 6 yrs ago I took some of the gift cards I received and bought a tablet (10" samsung galaxy) for travel.
Best. thing. ever. It can do everything my lap top can, but the portability factor! Takes up so little space. If traveling by car I will take the laptop, but for flying vacations, it is so convenient.

Similarly, I own a Canon DSLR with lots of lenses, but when I travel overseas I take a Canon point-and-shoot. It has 12 megapixels and 40x OPTICAL zoom. LOVE how it fits in my coat pocket and takes great photos. Wife uses her phone, but I prefer the Canon because of the quality and reach of the optical zoom.

Okay, getting off my technology soapbox…lol

My fav is a large portable battery pack. It’ll power my phone for days and saves looking for somewhere to plug it in for a re-charge.

YES—dear wife takes pictures with her phone, so her charging brick keeps her phone full of electrons all day. One of the best things I’ve given her!

Speaking of battery packs, for our Italy trip we’re traveling very light both in terms of luggage and gear when exploring so I picked up this wireless battery pack.

It’s about 1/3 the price of the Apple version; probably just has about 1 full charge capacity for a regular iPhone (vs Pro), but has the benefit of being small and wireless - no need to mess with a cable or worry about holding it when in use, just stick it to the back of your phone. This particular model only works with iPhone 12 and up.

Gosh, that backpack is tempting. It goes against my Bag A Week declutter goals (unless I make it the reason to part with a few other old. ones knocking around the house.)

Just reclassify it as a piece of luggage :). That resolves the conflict.

Packed mine for a 2 day visit to my daughters! Did strap on my TEVAS which I could have maybe jammed in but didn’t

deitz - isn’t the larger version of the backpack great? abasket - looks perfect for a short visit. I will use mine for a few days visit to my son (saving $$ on checked/carryon bags w/Frontier!).

Yes, Bunsen, you do need it! :joy: :joy:

H is my baggage otter and objected to the larger backpack so we are weighing whether to keep the smaller one. Both are in the living room. Hmmmm. Very nice bags at great price!

Larger one fits under airline seats, right?

Haha! we purchased both the 15.6” and 17” bags. We struggled to get the 15.6” bag onto handle of my suitcase. This morning, I tried the 17” bag &it went over suitcase handle perfectly. I guess in my jet lagged state I wasn’t thinking very clearly. Somehow, both bags look to be nearly the same size in terms of what they will hold. The 17” one has a strap that fits over a wider luggage handle and more compartments, including some in the front small pocket of the bag. I guess we prefer the 17” bag.

H likes that it’s lighter to carry and doesn’t flop over when you set it down (unlike our other backpacks that always have to lean against something and even then often fall over).

We haven’t traveled with it, so not yet positive but I like the bright blue interior and easier viewing and access with just one main compartment.

I haven’t bought this backpack yet, but I’m tempted for the reason you highlighted. The combination of the wide opening and bright blue interior appeals to me. I’m forever rooting around in the bottom of my black backpack with black interior, unable to find what I want. I also appreciate your comparison of the two sizes. Interesting that you say they appear to hold about the same amount.
