TRIALS Pre-Law Summer Program at Harvard/NYU

Is there any graduate that would mind chatting with me on this year’s application? I want to get as much advice as possible. PM me please.

Has anyone heard backn from trials yet? Interviews, rejections, anything?

When did you become notified that you were a semi-finalists and when did you receive your acceptance letter/email?. I applied for 2013 and still haven’t heard anything back. I’m worried because it’s April 6th and the 15th is approaching quickly

I’m applying for TRIALS 2014 can anyone offer any advice?

I applied too.

Have you heard anything yet? Like how many people they are accepting or what they are looking for?

Nope not a word so far. I don’t think they accept very many though, might be in the FAQ’s on their page.

Yeah I don’t think so either I think I heard they accept 30 or 60 not sure which one is true.

I’m counting on my personal statement to get me in. My GPA was not the one they look for. My scholarship advisor told me they look for around a 3.4 and I don’t have that but I do have above a 3.0

Hello 2014 Trial Applicants!

I was wondering if anyone has been rejected, accepted, or advanced to the final round yet. I was told Trials receives over 3,000 applications and only select 20 ;/.…I really hope that I at least make it to the final rounds. Can someone either respond to my posts via this forum or via my email: coldestwinter91@gmail.com ( G M A I L. C O M)

Hello! I also applied to this program. Haven’t heard anything yet. They said we would know a final decision by April 15th, so finalist should be getting a notification soon…

Hello! I have applied also. I met three people who got accepted last year. I am really nervous and hope I am at least a finalist. I will post on here as soon as I hear anything.

Hey! I also applied and haven’t heard anything back yet. I e-mailed them a few days ago and was basically told they’re in the process of reviewing, but no word on when they’re going to notify finalists. Regardless, good luck to everyone! I’m curious about how everyone here stacks up against each other.

Hi everyone! I also applied to the trials program. I e-mailed them as well and they said they email people on a case by case basis. So basically some people will hear decisions earlier than others.

Hearing on a case by case basis is going to give me serious anxiety! I wish they gave a profile of stats from pervious participants. I would like to know what kind of schools and GPAs they look for. This is an amazing opportunity and I can’t wait to hear from them!

Well it seems like they take a holistic approach to the applications, but I’m sure the GPA is still really important. I hope it holds a lot of weight. As far as schools go, they said this on their website:

“We will give particular consideration to those candidates who attend colleges that traditionally send no more than one graduate per year to the partnering law schools. Each summer, the majority of students enrolled in Trials will hail from such underrepresented institutions.”

I am also curious to see how everyone on here compares to each other. I know my GPA is not high I don’t have a 4.0 but I come from a small university and my personal statement was unique. Well at least Im praying they think so, enough to get me accepted.Good luck to everyone. Please let me know if you hear something by posting on here.

I also come from a small university, with a modest GPA. I did see somewhere that they look for around a 3.4, which seems low. I am hoping my personal statement stands out. I am very involved on campus too. Well see though. It’s easy to get lost among thousands of applications.

I agree.Best of luck to you all!

I received an email asking for my transcripts and letters of rec last weekend. Anyone else?
