Trinity vs. Bucknell

HELP!!!!! Almost certain I'll be majoring in econ, but me being the most indecisive person on the planet has finally killed me in deciding where to attend. I like the fact that Bucknell is a little bigger, but the greek dominance turns me off quite a bit. As for trinity, Hartford is not a place I think very highly of....

Bucknell is a really liberal place with a lot of drugs, or so I've heard. Just throwing that out there for you to consider. Maybe you'd like that, I don't know. Just telling you what I've heard from a transfer student who left Bucknell.

Try to make an analytical judgement. See the advantages and disadvantages of both sides, i mean make a note of them and compare them. Weigh each advantage/disadvantage according to your preferences, and then decide!!! You should accept the fact that the place you are going to will not be perfect.

Some categories you might want to consider.
1. strength of academic programs
2. financial aid
3. location
4. student/greek life, activties, etc.
5. athletics/ opportunities
6. reputation (only if you think it should be seriously considered)
7. crime rate/drugs/alcohol mishaps , etc. (I think trinity and bucknell would tie in this. If bucknell is filled with addicts, trinity is filled with alcoholics! Although teetotalers don't have a problem settling in trinity, that's what i've heard)

hartford has a much worse reputation than it deserves. i've lived in the hartford area most of my life, and i never once heard anything bad happening at trin! they are really working on the neighborhood surrounding the campus, and there are a bunch of new coffee shops, bars, and restaurants.

Is it true that CT is the richest state in USA and Hartford is the capital city of CT?

FYI, I'm international so I dont think it's surprising that I ask these questions.

ntek: CT is the richest state, Hartford is the capital. BUT this is a little deceiving because Hartford, while it has some very nice sections, is one of the poorest cities in CT (not in the trinity area though!).

I would say Trinity is possibly a little higher regarded academically speaking, but that it's so close that I would basically choose completely based on fit.
