Do you happen to know how many nomination applicants there are for our Senators?

No idea, Patty Murray's websites said she annually gets about 300-350 applicants, so it is pretty high. I dont know how many applied for our congressman, but the secretary told me the board was interviewing only 15, im guessing the top of the applicants. This is why I was surprised to get the principal nomination. I do three sports a year, captain in wrestling, moderate SAT scores (M640 V610 - not impressive at all, but qualifying) and not really any community service, though I do have a BUNCH of AP classes. So i assume I am correct when i say the interview board weighs HEAVILY on character for the nomination. I know that the two other canidadates from my school had higher SAT scores and other bonus (NHS prez, JROTC CO, etc.), but the personality is key. So to answer your question, yea there are quite a bit of applicants for the senator nom. but as they dont compose interviews, they are going off what is on the paper, which is why I am extremely thankful for getting the congressional nom.
