triple vs double

are the triple rooms significantly bigger than the double rooms? is there a reason why someone would opt for a triple versus a double or a single?

no, you'd be crazy to do so

I saw a triple in Low Rise 6 that much larger than the doubles....but I think that's a rare case. Don't go for a triple....

I seriously considered getting a triple thinking that a girl with two roommates would be less likely to inconvenience (and by "inconvenience," I mean "sexile") two roommates instead of one. That was a faulty assumption, seeing as rude people will inconvenience others indiscriminately. Thankfully, my wise dad pointed it out, and I ended up in a totally sweet double this year. We also lucked out in size, too- our room is about 188 square feet, which is a big improvement over my room at home. You can also loft or bunk your beds if space is a real concern.

My reasoning was that I really wanted a roommate but was concerned that my roomate and I may not be compatible. So I thought if you get a triple, the chances that you won't get along with BOTH your roomates are slim to none.... dumb idea?

Unfortunately, all 3 of you would still have to live together. All it takes is one.

Don't do it. I lived in a triple my freshman year of college (higher yield than expected so some doubles became triples) and it's much harder to have to learn to live with two other personalities than with one. Also, what if your other two roommates wind up getting along well and you're the odd one out? It makes for an awkward situation.
