Trojan Transfer Plan for the Class of 2020

I got a 4.0 GPA my first semester (& yes I am apart of TTP)! However, I’m quite nervous because I think my application isn’t spectacular. I am getting worried because time is running out. The USC Counselor I met with back in June no longer works at USC ): I don’t know what to do now!

@DirtyDonut You should be in touch with your regular area counselor if you have any questions. The ones that do interviews aren’t necessarily one in the same. The fact she is gone won’t matter. You are in the system as TTP and will be evaluated as such. No worries. Great GPA! Congrats.

@CADREAMIN Thank you so much for responding ! (: I hope I get in! I’m struggling with my essay for the application but I’m giving it my all !

Sorry to bother , but do you guys know if I HAVE ago send my SAT/ACT scores?

Since you are TTP they will have your info from the first go round. They keep your original application file. So you do not have to send them again.

@CADREAMIN what do you think are my chances? sorry if I’m bugging you ! I’m just very nervous lol!

If you hit gpa 3.8 above with some give for engineering students, you will likely get in.

@scotlandcalling sweet! I got a 4.0 for the Fall Semester (: now I just need to get a 4.0 for the spring !

Hey @dirtydonut - you aren’t bugging me at all,I was traveling last couple days so just posting now and then from the airport. Agree with above, with a 4.0, they really want to accept you as a TTP applicant (unless you are a bank robber or other type criminal, ha, again). You should be accepted and will likely know relatively early (as transfer apps go) with a gpa like that. With USC no one can ever say 100%, but a TTP with 4.0 is the best place to be in as a transfer applicant.

@CADREAMIN WOHOO!! Luckily I am no Crminal lol! I am looking forward to my future! thank you!!

@CADREAMIN I received a 3.88 at SDSU fall semester of 2016 and am on TTP! What would you say my chances are and when could I possibly find out a decision?

Your chances are excellent, they really want to accept TTP applicants and 3.8 is the magic number they love to see. So if you met the other requirements they discussed at your meeting, things look good. But it is USC, even with a 4.0 it is best to be hopeful and you can feel really good that you did all you could, but never count on it till the package arrives. TTPs typically find out on the early end of the transfer notification cycle, mid to late April. Some transfer applicants don’t hear until late June - ugh.

As TTP applicants do we need to resend SAT and ACT test scores?

No, they have them from your first application - they maintain that file.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know approximately how many people are offered TTP

That remains a mystery - they don’t ever disclose the how many of many things…

I’ve been getting mixed responses to this and wondered if anyone could clarify. How many people actually get an acceptance without SGR? From what I’ve read online it seems as if many/majority applicants’ spring grades are asked for. Is it just that the accepted students aren’t posting as much online? Haha…

Has anyone’s YouSC portals been updated? I submitted my app a few days ago, but it still says: “Already applied to USC? Register for an account using the e-mail address you provided on your Common Application to access a variety of services, including updates to your application status.”

@oneyeartransfer typically those who are transferring with approx one year of college credits will get SGR instead of acceptance because they want to see how you have been doing in college so they know if you will excel at USC. With Junior applicants however they tend to give them a straight answer immediately because they have more grades available which makes it easier for them to judge how you would do at USC.

@EnduranceArtist i think they send you an email with information on your portal. Mine currently says the same thing as yours and I submitted my app 3 days ago.
