Trojan Transfer Plan (TTP) including Study Abroad Info

Hi! Sorry this isn’t relevant to your question, but I wanted to ask about the Richmond USC TTP experience as a prospective transfer student. Since you mentioned your daughter attending, I would really appreciate if you could tell about her experience there – how manageable the courses were to maintain a high enough GPA to transfer, the housing, the general study abroad experience? Thank you so much!

I would direct you to the Facebook TTP if you haven’t already requested to be added to the group. There is a lot of information there. Most of the discussion is for the Paris and Rome schools but each student will chose a school for different reasons. London is a much smaller school so that might not be for everyone. My daughter liked that it is a English speaking country. She has been able to maintain her grades in the fall while traveling quite a bit. She is still waiting for her spring grades as her last final was just last Wednesday.

As for the aboard experience, there is nothing that compares to it. She was able to travel so much over the past year. She learned to be independent because she had to since she couldn’t just come home. I can discuss this more if you want to private message me.

Are this year’s TTP candidates still waiting for a decision? And regular transfers too?

Yes, both are. Very late all around. Usually a large chunk have heard by now. Not this year, ugh.

DJ Rodman was able to recently transfer apparently.

Sorry just wanted to inject a little humor since we’re all a bit frazzled with the waiting and all.

He went to my kids’ high school. He’s a good kid. It’s great to welcome to the Trojan family!

We finally heard back from USC and our daughter just was accepted to Annenberg after one year in London! It has been a crazy year, but so worth it.

Everyone heard in Paris except me a jr unit level Dornsife!

Did everyone get accepted from AUP or do you mean they asked for spring grades?

@mrsthawk Just curious, but if you don’t hear back, do you stay next fall in Paris? Do you know if some TTP kids get pushed to spring of '24 for admission to USC? I have heard that the TTP notices were late this year.

Hello, I understand that this is a TTP thread. My daughter was not given TTP and is still considering attending AUP. Does anyone know of any kids that transfer to USC after first year without TTP status? TIA!

@sgteric I don’t know the specific answer to your question, but if you private message me, I think I can give more info.

My daughter was offered TTP (non legacy). I’m trying to talk her into doing the community college route. I’m hoping that after the June meeting she will be more willing. This thread has been quiet. Anyone willing to share their TTP experiences for this admission cycle?

Just curious, but has anyone who was offered TTP for the 2022-2023 year, then did the Study Abroad option had any issues with admission? Did they still make it into USC – assuming they made their required GPA? Also, are the TTP students offered admission for Fall of the sophomore year, or do some of them get Spring of the sophomore year?

Hi Everyone, it’s been awhile since I caught up on this thread. I’m wondering if anyone offered TTP in their Fall 2023 denial letter has heard that the TTP program no longer exists. My D called the admissions office this morning was told TTP doesn’t exist even if it’s mentioned in her letter.

There is a TTP (or whatever it is called now) FB group. Are you part of that?

I’m not in that group, but will join. Thank you!

Wonderful to see you on here! Hope you and fam are well!

As far as TTP goes, I think they just re-branded it as some 2023 applicants did get “the offer” to try to transfer later in rejection letter worded almost identical to year before, but without formally calling it the Trojan Transfer Plan. Looks like positioning it more like an invite than a formal program, easy to guess why. I think admissions has said TTP doesn’t exist for at least a couple years now, when they are in fact, still inviting people to apply for transfer. There’s still articles about it by Annenberg media for 2023. I think that’s just admissions being admissions.

@CADREAMIN Hello old friend! It’s been awhile  S19 is living in LA working in the industry, despite the on-going strikes. He’s grateful for his SCA experience, to the point that his Fight On spirit has spilled over to D23!

Your comments about TTP rebrand make sense. I now recall the letter specifically avoiding the TTP name, but using the same vernacular.

Good luck to the new applicants! This USC forum has the best support system, with so many long time contributors. Listen to their advice!

Looking at the names feels like a high school reunion

Congratulations! My son is a freshman and was offered the Trojan Transfer in May. He wasn’t interested at them time, but he is now. Of the 16 credits he’s studying now, 12 will transfer. He just enrolled next Spring for 18 hours (all transfer) so he can get the 30 transferable hours recommended. He is predicted to get a 4.0 this semester. I wish he could take 15, but I know his chances for acceptance are better if he takes 18, especially since he’s applying for business. What are you studying?
