I’m applying to BU for 2014, meaning I’m an incoming senior. If I have a 2300+ SAT score, but I’m in the top 20% at a top 15 Public High School, Do I even have a chance to get into these programs? I’ve taken 5 AP’s as of my junior year, and ten honors courses to boot. I consistently do community service, and I’ve been a member of my club swim team for 9 years and on my State Winning Varsity High School team for three years. Will not being in the top ten percent really hurt my chances at these scholarships?

not being in the top 10% probably won’t hurt as much if your stats are on par with the other scholars

Also, does BU factor in a student’s SAT 2 scores into their decision regarding these scholarships?

Yeah cuz I think you have to take them to be considered?

Well then, would it be a better choice to use my 630 Lit and 750 USH SAT 2’s, or my 31 ACT? Or just retake Lit?

bumpity bump

i don’t think a 630 lit is necessarily bad depending on what your gpa is. if you’re only top 20% but your gpa is like a 95 then it just means you have a competitive high school and it shouldn’t reflect poorly on you.
