clf2154, best of luck!! out of all my decisions i’m the most nervous for this one because i absolutely fell in love with USC during explore. i live in norcal so mine will probably come tomorrow O_O

Received the Presidential for which I was interviewed for. Very happy!

I live just east of USC. I’m sure the letters will arrive to other parts of the nation in the next 1-2 days.

Interviewed for Presidential, got Presidential :D.

And come later today I’ll see if I become a Trojan or not. Very strong chance that I might :).

Nothing in NJ yet

D1 interviewed for the Presidential and got the letter today that she has been awarded the Presidential. I am thrilled!

Any thoughts on how long until the financial aid letter will come?

By the way, we are in Texas.

@MonorailLime could you please tell us where you are (NorCal, SoCal, etc)?

Haha, I’m in TX and I have a feeling the letter will probably come either this weekend or next week for me. sigh

Received letter today in Northern CA. Interviewed for, and awarded Trustee Scholarship!! Thank you USC!! Good luck to everyone awaiting their letter.

We are in Texas. :)

Nothing in Maryland today… hoping for tomorrow.

@MonorailLime Oh, all right. Eek! I’m hoping mine comes tomorrow then.

So are all the scholarships given out? even the small ones?

cause i REALLY want to go to USC but if I won’t get any financial aid, so I was hoping merit scholarships might help me. but i havent heard anything so does that mean i have zero chance of getting any kind of scholarship to USC?

please answer because if there are no more scholarships, ill be going to my back up school which I don’t like that much…

Got my Trustee letter today in SoCal!

Northern California DS2 (twin previously known as DS) applied for trustee and got it! He also got into Harvard today, no word about aid yet but I know it won’t compare. At Explore, he was the only kid who was not marveling about how well his interview went, so I am surprised and thrilled. Choosing is a really good problem to have.

@SeekingTopValue…congrats on both the Trustee and Harvard! Do you know what sort of financial aid you may have received at Harvard? My S is in a similar position between Stanford and the Trustee at USC. Not an easy decision to make if no financial aid is received (which is our current position). Curiously, did you have any ‘hook’ for Harvard? They were nearly impossible to get into regular decision this year due to the large class size they took in in their SCEA round so getting admitted there is a great accomplishment for your son.

Iwantan800: These are the trustee and presidential scholarships only. From posts from others, I gather that there are many other smaller ones to come, but not at this time.

Correction: These are results for those THAT INTERVIEWED for Trustee and Presidential. They may have received those awards, be bumped up from presidential to trustee or be bumped down from either one to Deans or other scholarships. They might also later be bumped up to Mork or Stamps. But it is this group that is hearing now. Other scholarships come later.

@Smilldeb: Thanks! If a hook is URM, Legacy, Athlete, the answer is no. In fact, DS2’s Grandma went to Columbia (College of Physicians and Surgeons to become a physical therapist) and he got wait listed (which to my mind = rejected). Also, rejected by Yale. When I get the financial aid offer, I might attempt to start a thread asking folks to weigh in on the choice. Are you interested in trying that? Congratulations to you and your S as well.

Congratulations to all who have contenders for these awards, and let’s keep our fingers crossed for the years ahead. If you have any friends, younger children or know other people confronting the merit aid hunt, make sure you are aware of the Wells Scholarship at IUB, which offers a full ride and is a very attractive option. I’m a bit wistful about it.

checked my status on USConnect (under financial aid tab)
got the trustee for which I interviewed!!! Never been more relieved/excited!
Can’t wait to see some of you next year!

Best of luck to all!

Do got her letter today. She was awarded the Presidential Scholarship for which she interviewed. Still not sure how we’ll be able to come up with the other $41K of COA.

Good luck to everyone!

OMG clf2154!!! Congrats and I’m so jealous that you found out online!

mine doesnt work?! What did you click on?

It might be since I didn’t apply for financial aid at all that the whole “your award is undetermined” signal shows up when I click on view award.
