TUFTS ED.. should I..?

I was thinking of applying ED for Tufts, but I was wondering if that risks my chances with other schools that I`m applying to.

I was also wondering if ED requires more higher SAT scores and GPA in order to be accepted than the average…

isnt it a bit late to apply? or if ur thinking already about next year ur sort of obessesed...

Must be next year.. sorry, I don't know anything about Tufts..

do applicants need to have higher stats to gettin accpeted in the ED pool?

They are more likely to take you if you have higher stats, or if you are a particularly interesting applicant.

ok thanks for all the info

Tufts is definitely one of the olleges where ED increases your acceptance chances a lot. If you know for sure you would be happy there and money is not a significant factor then ED is a good option but make sure you will not change your mind, many do. It is a binding contract. It helps to visit a variety of schools first. Many change what they want between junior and senior year.

well, I was going to apply ED because my stats weren't as high. So, should I just apply RD then?

If you really want to go to Tufts, apply ED. I understand that Tufts really tries to create an interesting, student body made up of kids who love the school and really want to be there.
I took my D on a tour of East Coast Schools last year. Tufts was the ONLY school my D really wanted to go to so she applied EDII. (The only reason she didn't apply EDI was she wanted to get her SAT score higher before applying) Her stats were average for Tufts Admittees but is kind of an interesting person and also had a coach in her corner. Emphasize what is most interesting about you on your application. I think that if you can show how you will add to their dynamic student body in some way, you have a good chance of ED admission, even with stats in the norm for Tufts.
Tufts seems like the perfect school for many people: perfect size, great location, outstanding teachers and academics, interesting programs. Every alumni I've talked to loved the school and the time they spent there. I say...go for it!!!!

Tufts looks not just at scores but at what you will bring to the school, an eagerness to learn, that love of learning and of Tufts is imp. If you have scores in the mid 1200 and a lot to offer, you would be picked over a 1500 scorer who is not well rounded. Agree with manicmom, if you really want to go there go for it. I graduated from Tufts many moons ago but it is an amazing college!
