Tuition Rises Yet Again

<a href="http://www.thehoya.com/news/021307/news2.cfm%5B/url%5D">http://www.thehoya.com/news/021307/news2.cfm</a></p>

They finally passed that magical $50,000 barrier. Congratulations!

hah, kill me now

Ay carumba.

Yeah, geez, this sucks.

hopefully they can counter give students more aid with their newly acquired endowment

But why don't they just keep it lower so that more people can afford it- then they wouldn't have to give as much financial aid. I don't really like how my tuition goes up so that I can pay for other people to go to school. I know that's a *****y spoiled thing to say, but it bothers me.

Well the fundamental reason tuition keeps rising is that the cost of actually educating one student for one year at Georgetown, excluding room and board, is over $50k. So the $35k you pay, although exorbidant, comes no where near covering the cost of the education that the University is fronting.

i didnt apply for financial aid. is gtown need blind or what?

it is need blind
