@financekid123 wait was this for people where it did show the EDII button and people for who it didn’t
I guess those that could access the button. You’d think in 2018 Tufts Syndrome still wouldn’t be a thing.
what do you mean by “not working”?
My child’s doesn’t work either.
mine doesn’t either, it says i have to contact an admissions counselor if i want to change
they said on last year’s thread that edII gate was confirmed with all the deferrals so now im a mix of emotions and really anxious
It honestly stinks. I wonder if there is a reason for why yield is valued over a stronger class?
The reason is that all colleges including Tulane are trying to get higher on the US news and world report rankings. AN important factor in where a college ranks is their yield. Colleges are trying to reduce the number of accepted applicants that don’t enroll, while also building a strong class. That is why you see overqualified kids get rejected. Its definitely a flawed system but there are ways you can push the odds more in your favor, the most obvious would be to apply ED. The most important thing to remember is demonstrated interest. Really spend time on those “optional” writing supplements. Your goal is to convince your admissions reader that if they accept you, there is a high chance that you enroll in their college.
Personally, I did the optional supplement and the interview. I was financially unable to travel to Tulane (which I explained to my interviewer) but it seems like thats an important factor.
I did that as well due to not being able to make the 13+ hour drive but my interviewed bailed on me and, when I emailed Tulane to tell them, they did not respond to the form I filled out. However, I did e-mail the counselor for my region and asked a few questions that were unique. In addition, my EDII button does not work, it tells me the form is unavailable, so I have mixed feelings. I think my Why Tulane and Work Experience essays were strong, if not a little wordy.
Well it sounds like you are in a good position and I wish you the best!
Aaaa I just realized it sounds like I’m dick-measuring, I’m really not and I’m sorry. Best of luck to you too!! Positive vibes!!
Unrelated but is 12/20@3:30cst when letters are sent or when the portal is updated?
If fhe EDII button doesn’t work, does that suggest accept? Or does that suggest deferred? Or possibly either. Sorry for being so daft here…
@condensationr for ED1, the posted date and time where when the portal was updated. The acceptance letter arrived the next day. Good luck!
My ED2 button doesn’t work and in Gibson I got a new tab call applicant. In that Applicant section there are 3 areas “TruTU: Tulane As We See It”, “Have a Question”, and “Meet your Counselors”
If fhe EDII button doesn’t work, does that suggest accept? Or does it also suggest deferred? Help!
@goose15, same here. The “applicant” section showed up this am…Does everyone see this?
I have it @collegemom9 .
Does anyone know if the edII button updates later or is it enmasse and if it works now it’s final say? One of my best friends have the edII button working but they’re infinitely more qualified than me and I really want them to get in
@condensation – Did not having the EDII button in 2022 mean accept? Or did it also mean deferral?
