I noticed that this morning our PTA tab in the green wave portal changed. It used to show a list of documents submitted (essays, recommendation, etc.), but now it’s completely blank. Anyone know what this means? (deferred EA applicant)
@collegemom111111 Mine is the same. It seems like the portal is just updating for everyone.
@Blah2345 I wonder if the release of PTA decisions on Friday means that deferred EA applicants have no chance of getting PTA.
@collegemom111111 Hmmm, not sure. If they do have a chance it would likely mean acceptance on or before Friday.
@collegemom111111 @Blah2435 i emailed my admissions counselor upon being deferred. deferred applicant DO have a chance!
I have been accepted EA in Dec. My PTA application screen changed to almost blank today. Nothing changed in Gibson. Still see my current scholarship.
while we’re all incredibly nervous, both deferred and accepted applicants, personally i find it best to let the portals do their thing and resist the urge to check! it’s hard but it helps because there’s no point in speculating and reading too far into things that could or couldn’t be true. best of luck to everyone! i’m hoping i get into tulane soon! i was deferred EA.

I know this isn’t the end of the world, but I’m thinking it is highly unlikely my D will be accepted into Tulane. After looking into the “2022” thread, I’m just not hopeful. It was one of her top choices, so it kind of sucks, but she will be fine. No way she could commit to the ED1 or 2 commitment without knowing the finances.

@TXdad1425 there is always a chance! you’re assuming this based on grades / test scores? always remember the application review is holistic 
@purplecattt Thanks for the insights. Did your counselor say that those deferred would be accepted before the PTA awards are announced? It would be odd to get the PTA without having been accepted yet right?
@collegemom111111 She did not specify and just said that deferred students are eligible which honestly, is enough for me haha! i’m nervous. personally, i’d assume the acceptance would come out at the same time as the award and all portals will be updated friday. but that’s just my thoughts on it!!
NO scholarship. The dream is over.

Got an email and the status on the green portal was updated with a letter.
"Thank you for your interest in the Paul Tulane Award. As you know, Tulane’s full-tuition scholarships are highly competitive, with nearly 3,000 applicants this year. Regretfully, you have not been selected to receive the award.
We are delighted to have been able to offer you admission into the Tulane Class of 2023, as well as the $5,000-per-year Leadership Award, and we believe you will be a valuable member of our community on campus and in New Orleans."
With more and more options opening up to me, as well as the director of admissions to a local school wanting to meet me 1-on-1 for coffee soon, it appears like Tulane will forever be a ‘I wish’ due to the high price point and low aid. I wish you all the best in the future
@Goose15 Thanks. My D’s email says she has a letter, but we haven’t logged on to the portal yet (waiting to let her do it). She is deferred EA so I’m guessing it’s a regret letter regarding the PTA but hoping maybe it’s an acceptance instead.
