@LincolnsGF yep… legacy, high standardized scores (above Tulane’s average), URM, incredibly rigorous curriculum and awesome GPA, interesting extracurriculars, 4 years of volleyball (3 as Varsity) and involvement directly in Tulane activities since middle school (including being an RA in a Tulane lab), and still deferred during EA… go figure…
@carondelet That stinks. Just does not seem fair to kids who worked so hard to get great grades and test scores etc.

Our admissions counselor told us flat out that the EA Defered folks would get their decisions with the regular decision folks, MINUS a few special cases here and there
Just saw on college kickstarter website that shows actual release dates from past years has been updated to indicate releasing RD on March 28. Have no idea if that’s accurate, but it’s updated information they got from somewhere as of yesterday.

Weighted 4.0 on 4.0 scale, 32 ACT (is this low?), strong ECs/recs/why tulane essay. I also applied for PT scholarship but didn’t get it. I would love to go to Tulane and am hoping for the best!
So will decisions be released on the 19th like last year or the 28th?

Hey can anyone chance me please? I know I’m not the strongest candidate, but I have a 4.15 weighted GPA, 3.85 unweighted, 1350 SAT (should have taken the ACT I improved way better on it), 5 APs and I did pep band and led it in my senior year. I also think my essays are pretty good due to my personal life story. Thanks!
@ProudWADad @LittleLiam I’m not sure how reliable Kickstarter is. Last year they released on Monday the 19th, so it’s possible they may even release tomorrow the 18th (since it’s a Monday).

@purplecattt they came out last year on Monday the 19th so they could start today. My daughter reached out to her ac last week and she was told that they would roll out until 4-1. Nothing about specifics. Hopefully someone here will call today and ask. As a parent, I won’t call and I know my daughter won’t since she just did recently

Honestly, looking at last year I feel like Tulane is way too heavy on yield protection. They waitlisted/ rejected so many amazing applicants who really wanted to attend but they didn’t see the demonstrated interest I guess. I hope they see that people with higher stats than Tulane’s averages still are very interested in attending.
So do we think decisions will be released today?
