Does Tulane require mid-year (aka first semester) grades?
I am under the impression that they do not (on the common app, it says the final report is required, but not mid-year)
I am assuming the next and last waves will be the 15th for ED and 20th for EA
Is it likely that admissions just hasn’t (and won’t) get to all of the EA applications by the deadline, and for that reason many will get deferred?
Tomorrow is the day before the ED deadline, it’s unlikely that anything will come out tomorrow. It’s so close for both EA and ED deadlines, there shouldn’t be any extra waves.
Did anybody receive deferrals or rejects at all? Or just acceptances so far?
I’ve noticed that the number of members of the facebook page hasn’t jumped significantly, unlike last week, so I don’t think very many decisions came out on Monday.

Just spoke to admissions office: next batch of admission results for EA will be posted Monday at 7 PM and nothing before then
ok i just called and the guy said it can be anytime between now and the 20th.
I think some people on here are BSing us. There’s no way that everyone has received a different response from admissions.
Our admission rep told us last week that we would hear by this Friday.
Okay I’m freaking out! I just got two emails from fimservice@tulane.edu that says “I am pleased to welcome you to Tulane!” and then it closes with “Again, we welcome you to Tulane University.” I don’t wanna get overexcited if it doesn’t mean anything though. Any thoughts?
The Thanksgiving email my D got was headlined, “Congratulations! You’re in!” in big bold letters. Don’t know if that helps.
Have you tried logging into your Gibson portal? Try that and say you forgot your password. If there is merit aid posted, then you got in. (That’s how my daughter confirmed the Thanksgiving email.)
I’m not sure if just having it work means you got in, anyone else know if you can log in to Gibson without being admitted?

I’m not sure why they would say Welcome to Tulane if I wasn’t admitted. That is so horrible. But then again this has been a crazy process so I wouldn’t hold anything off limits. It also had the information to make my own username and password for the gibson portal.
I logged on. It doesn’t say anything about merit but it does give me the option to sign up for a meal plan and housing. And last week it said I had “unsatisfied requirements” becaue of my “admission pending review” but now it doesn’t have that anymore.
