Tulane EA/ED Decisions Class of 2022

@Peterya Was she EA?

@anxious18yrold Me too :frowning: I’m in Wisconsin and there’s no way I’ll get the letter by Tuesday

@WiscoRunner I’m in Boston but leaving for Winter Break on Wed and I hope the letter comes before I leave!

@Peterya OH THANK GOODNESS, my heart was literally shattered and on the ground until you said that. Thank you, the EDII error probably isn’t any kind of indicator then!

Does anyone else keep refreshing their portal hoping that the decisions magically got uploaded already? I know it is completely irrational that they are going to upload decisions on a Sunday night (especially when it sounds like decisions are being uploaded to the portals on the 19th) but I keep refreshing anyways!

@acceptedman my friend’s daughter was rejected last year who had very high stats. We assume it is because they thought it was her safety school.

Is she just verbally committed though?

@freshmesh167 me too, im hoping this is a good sign.

@Pastpower when you click on switch to ED II what happens?

@acceptedman yes but she was an athletic recruit

@Peterya did she apply ea?

@cantkeepcalm13 yes

anyone who was accepted, please try that button and let us know

I have heard of schools doing that, but if your essay for why tulane is good then you shouldn’t worry. even if you do get deferred send a letter to you rep saying how much you’d love to attend

Lets all just relax, we’re going to find out decisions soon anyway and since there are conflicting reports let’s not look too far into it anymore
Good luck to all!! :slight_smile:

@gct3520 I’m still allowed to apply EDII when I click on it. Luckily though, after hearing that someone admitted was still in my same position, I’m a little more relieved now.

I’m getting worried that I’ll be rejected if admissions makes the assumption that Tulane is a safety for me, based on what people are saying in this forum that Tulane has done so in the past.
I have 35 ACT (took the test once), and am ranked #1 in my class of 300 students. My co-curriculars are unique and good (drama, dance, leadership role as choreographer, waitress), I have a National award for writing under my belt (Scholastic Writing National Gold Medal) and my personal essay and recommendations were all great. My reason for being scared is because I think my “Why Tulane” essay was a little nonspecific.
Thoughts?

@jacqueswebster99 I feel the same way. I have a 1550 SAT and I really want to go to Tulane, but I wasn’t able to visit. I’m afraid my lack of interest might get me rejected…

@robotmachine I also was unable to visit but I will definitely visit if I am accepted. Tulane is one of my top schools and I wish I could have found a way to show that more in my “Why Tulane” essay.
Good luck to both of us!

Deep breaths, everyone…
