Turnaround time for appeal

Hello everyone, hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday so far. Just a quick question because I myself am getting a little paranoid.

For some of you who post in the Pitt forum, I was rejected this last November. I knew Pitt was my number 1 choice, and although I applied to 6 other schools, I knew that Pitt was the best fit for me. I knew that the chance of rejection for me was pretty high, but I had hope. I visited the campus, had a one on one interview with an admissions counselor at my school. I felt that I did everything correctly to get in. Unfortunately I was rejected and was absolutely devastated, I read that a few people were able to appeal their rejection from Pitt and were actually able to get in. I talked to my college counselor, who called the Pitt counselor I had the interview with. He pulled up my file and said that I should absolutely consider appealing, my grades looked fine and my tests scores looked very good, except he called it to be reconsidered for admission, because I was rejected from the business school and want to be reconsidered for the Liberal arts school.

So I emailed him about a month ago with my quarter grades, my high school resume and a letter asking to be reconsidered. I did not receive an email back from him or anything stating he received the email, and I have no idea as to what time I would hear back from him or the school. I somewhat feel that the email did not send properly or something.

Anyone with experience appealing a rejection or asking to be reconsidered, how long did it take you to hear back? I was going to give it two weeks after winter break and I would talk to my college counselor to talk to him and see, and if for some odd reason my email did not send, I would just try and re apply. Thank you for your time, sorry for the long post.
