TV for IV Dorm

Hey everyone,

I have an IV single this year, and I was hoping to get a TV for it. Does anyone have any suggestions as to the size of the TV, as well as any knowledge about University policy on which TV's are allowable and which are not?

Thanks!

Uhhhh all up to you dude. You’re just not allowed to bring in furniture.
As long as the shoe fits.

IV singles are SUPER small tho. a 42in might be too big.
Maybe something in its 20s

IV singles are big enough, especially considering that you only have one person per room.

Depending on how you want to arrange your furniture (Bed, two Dresser Section which can be stacked, desk, and fridge if you ordered one), you could probably fit a pretty wide variety of TV sizes in. Keep in mind that you’re technically not allowed to mount anything on the walls unless you’re using something like putty (or anything that can be removed without leaving a mark), though most people use tacks without getting into any kind of trouble, myself included. However, any kind of wall mounted TV would probably be taking things to far, so make sure its free standing.

In my room, I placed my bed and fridge on one side of the room, and stacked the dresser units and the desk on the other. I placed my TV on top of the dresser, which, unless you want to place it on your desk (which would basically be large enough to fit ANY TV you might decide to buy), will probably be where you put it (This dresser (http://www.stores.uconn.edu/images/Surplus/dorm3drawerdresser12010.JPG</a>) is somewhat similar, if not a bit thinner than, the kinds of dressers in IV rooms, so make sure your TV looks like it could fit on that.
