<p>I would love to hear about recommended sizes of TV's that can adequately fit in an IU dorm. My S will not want a TV that monopolizes the entire room, but something that is not microscopic as well.</p>
<p>Any recommendations on where the set will be placed in the room probably weighs in on size selection.</p>

<p>I went to school with a 19in tv. It’s a little smaller than I would like but, given that dorms aren’t huge anyway and I’m not much of a tv watcher, it’s worked just fine for me. As far as I’m concerned, my tv size wasn’t a big deal as I often had other things to do and if it was on, it was background noise. However, if tv is something your S likes to watch or he likes to play video games, I’d get a bit larger than that. Guys tend to be into large electronics anyways, he’ll certainly be super popular on the floor. :]</p>
<p>What dorm are you in? For my room in McNutt I had a 32 inch and others had the same or larger.</p>
<p>I bought a 32" for my room this year. From what I saw of the rooms in my dorm (Forest), there should be plenty of space for a tv that size.</p>
<p>A 42" plasma that I had in large single in Forest was definitely a good size for the room. My single was larger than other singles, so I would perhaps recommend a nice 37".</p>
