I just got a new LCD TV for Christmas, and Im wondering whether or not it's worth it to bring up to the dorms. Do any others have LCD TV's? What are the chances of it being stolen if I do bring it.

I would rather bring it up, cuz it's a real good TV, but I dont know if I want to risk it being stolen.

Any advice from current students, or what are other incoming freshman doing?

My son had an LCD TV
No problems with theft.
We did get anti-theft labels for the tv and his laptop. Ugly but I think they scare those who might think about lifting expensive equipment.

I am a senior now, but when I lived on campus 2 years ago theft wasn't a problem at all. You had to use your id to get into the buildings and most people will already have their own tvs. It should be fine, as long as don't leave the tv outside in the grass overnight with a "Please steal me" sign. Campus and all of State College are normally pretty safe. I hope you got football tickets.

im bringing my LCD tv to the summer session and i feel very safe in the dorms. unless u leave for hours on end with your door open and your roomate's isnt in the room. are u attending the summer session?
