Twenty-two year old transfer needing some advice!

Current School: Top 50 National University
Major: History
Last Semester: 3.87 - all upper Divisions
This Semester: All upper Divisions once again
Honors: Dean's List, many more from H.S, University Honors Program
Reason for attending School: A lot of community service opportunities down here, excellent program, wonderful city
Reasons for needing to transfer: Dependent on Parents still - about to lose his job - like to be closer for less expenditures - also looking for a more academically stable climate. At 22, the college scene is far past me.
Age: 22
High School: (2004 - wow long ago lol top 1/5 3.4 gpa 3.7 weighted - don't even remember my SAT's - nothing spectacular - would have been higher senior year - accident threw my life off course, nothing i can do about it now.)
Hooks: First generation to attend college, life changing experience

Reason for not attending college right after H.S: My best friend killed her best friend in a drunk driving accident. Had a significant impact on my life, spent the last four years traveling the country, taking a series of jobs, looking for some supernatural meaning to life. It's a LONGGG and interesting story, but nevertheless I found what I was looking for, got things back together last April in my life, and now I'm at my Top 50. However, things have popped up, and need to transfer. Anyone think I got a shot at any ivy, gtown, or chicago? Been out of this game for a longg time, like to know if anyone has any opinions! Take care and TY!

Your post is a bit difficult to understand and, due to a lack of info., even harder to assess your chances. What were your SAT/ACT scores? Your post reads as if you are transferring to very expensive schools to save money??? What year of college are you currently in? Most, if not all, students at the Ivies, Georgetown or Chicago have superior writing skills and, based on your post, that is not your strength. Are you at a private or state school?
