Two USC Professors Now Have Grawemeyer Awards

<p>It was posted yesterday Dr. Antonio Damasio had received the 2014 Grawemeyer Award of $100,000 for his distinguished work in psychology and neuroscience. Today Dornsife announced Dr. Jacque Hymans had received the Grawemeyer Award in another field for 2014. A monetary award of $100,000 is included. </p>

<p>Professor Hymans is an associate professor in the Department of International Relations at USC. He received the award for "Ideas for Improving the World". His recent book has won the American Political Science Association Price Award and the Academy of Public Administration Brownlow Book Award. The acclaimed book is titled "Achieving Nuclear Ambitions".</p>

<p>Dr. Hymans is a Luce Foundation Fellow, Abe Fellow and a Mellon Fellow. He did postdoctoral work at Stanford University. He earned both his MA and Ph. D. at Harvard University.</p>
