Types of Dorms vs LC

Hello,
I was very interested in the LC program... however the two learning communities I want are both in the new Ernie Davis dorm. Most people would consider this another plus since the dorm is all new- but since I am going to be a freshman I was really looking forward to having the freshman expereince... and the dorms are all single OR double SPLIT! I obviously can not speak from experience but I don't feel like that would foster a positive (or even existant) social life or comarady within the floor. Does anyone have expereince in a double split or a single and is willing to share that? feedback would be wonderful...

wow thats a hard question.

its nice dorm vs. social life.

i would go with social life but, too much of a social life would bring your grades down. well try and find out if more freshman are being placedin Ernie Davis. If they are, then go for it but if not, then go to the regular freshman dorms

i lived in BBB and the location kinda sucks but it was the BEST experience ive ever had… i mean there is a hill and some crazy stairs but there are ways around it lol

IMO if you can get ernie davis go for it it will be sick. I’m pretty sure the split doubles are for the freshman on the lower floors and the singles on upper floors for upperclassman. Don’t worry about the split doubles they are just rooms with a small wall in the middle of it so you can have some privacy i wish i had one my freshman year haha. And the LCs have you do stuff together by nature so you shouldnt be worried about comraderie and doing stuff together at all
