if your in a learning community, can you tell me what you do in it and the residence?

im a junior in hs and applying ED to Syracuse.

i want to Major in Biochemistry and was wondering if the Ernie Davis building will have alot of Freshman. i would go into the HEalth Sciences LC if i was to join a LC commnity.what do you do in LC's? are your LC roomates people who dont like to become social or something?

What are LC's all about?

basically its a argument between learning communities/Ernie Davis Vs. Random placement.

oh and is it like for kids who cant social right or geeks. lol im not trying tobe mean but thats what i heard.

the only reason why i would want to be in a LC is because the nice dorm, my roomate doing the same work as me and we could help eachother out & etc, and the nice dorm lol

I don’t know much about it, since I’m going to be a freshman this fall. But I’m pretty sure it is not for geeks only. Here is the website [Learning Communities - Which One is for Me?](http://lc.syr.edu/content/which.aspx). You can click on the link and it describes what you do, and the hall it will be in.

The learning community that is in the ernie davis hall is open for College of Human Ecology Health and Wellness majors and minors only. But if you’re lucky you might be placed in Ernie Davis randomly.

The learning communities are like a way for you to learn an additional passion or be a part of a group of interest students on campus. You receive credits but I’m not sure if you actually receive a grade as well.
