Typical Freshman Course Schedule for Smith School

What is a typical freshman course schedule for the Smith School of Business? Give you give me any tips on great professors to aim for? Can the freshman math requirement be skipped if the student is coming in with AP Statistics completed? Any experience with the Smith Freshman Fellows program that you can share?

Thanks,
Ralph

It’s different for each major, but if you know what major you’re planning on pursuing, you can find a sample 4 year plan here: [General Education Program - University of Maryland](http://www.gened.umd.edu/for-students/forstudents-4yearplans-bus.php)

Good luck!

I really liked Basu for Accounting I. I believe he teaches all the non-honors/fellows/whatever sections for it so you’re good.

You can’t avoid Pfeiffer for Accounting II, he’s… interesting. Most people hate him, some don’t mind him, a few like him.

I enjoyed my econ classes with John Neri. Great professor.
