I applied to U Mich EA (sent in my app around 1.5 weeks ago). The website says that decisions will be released no later than December 24th. When do decisions begin to come out? Is it usually around the time they say, or in your experience has Michigan released decisions earlier?

I also applied EA; I attended an info session yesterday and an admissions counselor said that ALL decisions are released on the same day (super paranoid). Anyways, she also stated that they’re usually released mid-December (last year it was Dec 18), so yea…Hopefully we all get in :S

I wouldn’t be surprised if the release date is delayed a week or so due to the extended deadline given due to Sandy. I love UMich but if I see one weekness it is with Admissions and seemingly delays that are experienced. They may use this extended deadline as an opportunity to take more time. Time will tell.

^^I doubt that the small number of kids that are granted exemptions from the deadline will impact the timing of the decisions. Remember that was not an extension for all…it was a request to be considered early action despite not making the deadline because of hardship due to the storm.
