I plan on majoring in Philosophy, or International Relations. I live in Nevada, so Arizona is much closer, but I feel Will and Mary is just a better school overall. Are my ideas logical? what are your opinions on which are better?

Academically, W&M is a stronger school. However, Arizona isn’t bad, per se, so if you have a valid reason for choosing it over W&M (I’m thinking in terms of finances), don’t worry too much. I’d go with W&M easily, tho.

I would choose W&M.

But if you are going to study philosophy, Arizona is actually a good department. Arizona has the 13th best graduate Philosophy department in America, and 14th best in the world. Now that is on the graduate level, but it has to say a little something about the undergrad faculty as well or at least the TA’s they pull in.

I would definitely choose University of Arizona.
Arizona is pretty decent and, compared to W&M, I personally dont think it worth to go to far far away Virginia and spend much more money there while you can just go to u of a which is decent school in overall and has one of the best philosopy program ^.
