U of arizona X ASU X university of Oregon

which one would you choose and why??

Univ. of Orgeon..

Univ. of Arizona is alittle bit better than ASU...
ASU is one of the schools that parties the most

What kind of environment do you like? Both the AZ schools are nice, but except for this week, pretty hot and dusty. Not alot of green. I've been to all three campus and I like UofA's layout compared to the others. ASU seems to be just huge. God help ya if your classes are far apart. But hey, you're young. :) If you're a person who likes seasons and trees, they ain't there.

U of O isn't as pretty a school, but is located in a far prettier place in eugene. It's kinda considered a hippy college and community, but Oregon is generally a bit more social consceince oriented than AZ. Both mine go to LAC in Oregon and if they settle down there, we probably will retire there too. If you like green, it's hard to beat.

I think education wise they are all very similar, so it comes down to what you are looking for around campus and community.

U Arizona

Great creative writing program.

U of Arizona, hot chicks, great parties and good school academically im actually thinking about going there since I got in, but im from NYC so im lookin closer to home, but yeh UofA is one of my favorites

In the state of Arizona ( where I live ) The U Of A is regarded as far more prestegious than asu

I haven't experienced that chillin; most people have an opinion about ASU vs U of A one way or the other, but it's pretty unfar to make a generalization that one is "better". It's all a matter of perspective, your major, atmosphere, and vibe.

In the state of Arizona (where I live) ...there is an equal amount of people who choose ASU vs. UofA based on prestige.

They are both great state schools...the only difference is the location.

ASU is in a nice town, but UofA is a better college academically. I've been to all three schools, but only applied to to UofA and UO.

How do UofA and UO compare academically?

........................

They both have there strengths which are soured by admitting "lower" quality students than their peers. Oregon...I know their business program is on the rise, but not because of the school, rather because of alumni questioning their career service team and taking a more proactive role in recruiting from their alma mater.

But as always, a specific major or list of possibles will be very helpful.

I would major in Business or Economics (I'm leaning towards Economics with a concentration in Finance). I've already applied to both schools.

Anyone? ...

def arizona (ASU SUCKS and oregon isnt as good)

Arizona State is by far the best school out of those three.

I haven't heard much of good thing about ASU. They have a very bad biology department. Also, ASU's acceptance rate is like 91%...a lot of chance of getting full ride if you are a really good student. ppl say that U of A is better. I don't know about U of oregon. Have you considered other arizona universities like Grand Canyon (by the way, they call their dorms "suite"), or NAU?

That full ride isn't necessarily true. You have to be a REALLY good student or a NMF, and even then, it's not full. It is very selective when giving out money, it wants only the really good students to consider the school seriously.

I have a 3.6 UW, and a 4.15 W and got NO money...at all. ASU does offer education to not-so-good students, but it has just as many good students as bad. The honors college really keeps it above par when it comes to education.

NAU and Grand Canyon are decent schools, but their educational quality is nothing compared to ASU or UofA. 2 of my teachers went to Grand Canyon, and they liked it. NAU isn't that serious of a school. I got their 'Presidential Scholarship' totaling to an immense 3500k a year. Yea...

..........

anyone else?

Two members of our family went to Uof O and both liked it very much. Nice town, good sports and a good school. Remember, Animal House was filmed there!
