<p>I totally disagree from the above poster about Michigan. Even as an IS candidate, I don’t think you will get in with that GPA of yours. Your ACT is average for Michigan acceptees but your GPA is well below average. Your ECs are solid but nothing special. Michigan is a school where GPA is by far the most important thing. I was deferred, waitlisted and rejected from Michigan when I applied EA in 2009. I had a 3.64 (UW) taking the hardest courses, a 33 ACT and I was IS as well. I know of quite a few other people who had mid to low 3.6s that got waitlisted as well. Just about every single person I know that got in had at least a 3.7 so you will have to get a 4.0 this semester to have a realistic shot.</p>
