U of R unpopular in the city??

<li><p>I noticed few people are on this thread, is U of R not too popular of a school? [ i understand its great academically but it really doesnt mean anything if nobody knows… just saying] </p></li>
<li><p>Can people find jobs in the city after graduating? Although its in the same ranks of NYU and BC, people tend to hear U of R and think SUNY</p></li>
<li><p>This is not meant to insult U of R in any way, I just wanted to know because I am considering this school but stuff like this holds me back</p></li>

<p>Rochester is quite far from New York City - the two have virtually nothing in common except the state they're in. However, yes, people who graduate from Rochester can find employment in New York City.</p>
