U.S. History Subject Test Prep... Help! :)

I'm planning on taking the U.S. history subject test in October but I really need to review. I took the subject test once more without any prep outside of my AP history class in May and I got a 670 which I really want to raise. I got a 5 on the AP history exam later that month. I think I have forgotten a lot of the information over the summer however and need a way to review quickly. Can anyone recommend any books or study guides? Also, are there any specific time periods/themes that you think I should focus on?

Thanks so much in advance.

Lol…Don’t stress out too much b/c I kinda have even more severe problem.I only studied in the States for one yr and unfortunately took Pre-AP US history instead of AP,for I was afaid that I could not handle it as English is not my first language…Anyway,I lost tons of info just as well;now I am trying to gather it back.
I suggest you pick up Kaplan SAT US His. b/c it seems to have a good cover over the main general ideas(I’m working on it now).In addition,my SAT tutor who took the SAT US his. told me to get Princeton Review’s AP US history and Barron’s AP US history flash cards(which I think I’ll only try to get the flash cards). I forgot where but I saw somewhere that 1880s and 1930s,40s,50s need to be paid more attention.
I hope this info will help.

Good luck to you!

Thanks! Anyone else have any tips?

Tip: Study.
Test focus (roughly): 20% on pre columbian period, 40% on pre-civil war, 40% on past civil war
