U.S. News 2006 Ranking Prediction

Hahahahhaha, the Cornell board would be sending gift bags to USNEWS on daily basis. Man, as a Blue Devil, I cannot allow that. :)

"1.Stanford
2. Harvard
3. Princeton
4. Cornell"

Lets play 'one of these things is not like the other'

Wow wow tricky, but I shall provide a reason for each one because I think that it is subjective.

1.) Perhaps, Stanford does not belong there. Why? It is west-coast straight thugging and it is not an Ivy League Universitizzle. Plus dey got mad Asians and minorities and what not.

2.) Perhaps, Harvard does not belong there. Why? It is east-coast gangsta geniuses and like "We are the best university in the world" So perhaps its too good for the others. And its in Cambridge...linked to the name like Cambridge University so I guess this sounds legit.

3.) Perhaps, Princeton does not belong there. Why? It is in NJ, armpit of America. Dey got no grad schools that are just straight-bumpin man.

4.)Perhaps, Cornell does not belong there. Why?
Man dem biatchin, crackheads be jus jumping off dem roofs like it was thier J-O-B.

Well, these are just my opinons. Please dont be offended.

Harvard2400:

Cornell's suicide rate is BELOW the national average. I dont think they'd appreciate the 'suicide myth' being perpetuated.

Ok sorry,

I seriously do apologize. I was just saying some late night humor stuff and I really do feel sorry.

I knew that statistic but I was merely playing off a silly old myth. And I quite confident that all colleges have their own silly, myths that are detrimental to their reputation as well.

Your humor was lost on me--my mistake :)

Majayi, take it easy. :) There isn't any perpetuation going on that I know of. I also think Cornellians could care less about what people think of their suicide myths.

BWAHAHAHAHA! I definitely just spit up some coke from that one. Hahahaha. high five

"1.Stanford
2. Harvard
3. Princeton
4. Cornell"

Lets play 'one of these things is not like the other"

Brilliant.

Dartmouth people are officially the best. Period.

My Prediction:

1 Princeton
1 Harvard
3 Yale
4 MIT
5 Stanford
5 Duke
7 Cal Tech
8 Penn
9 Dartmouth
10 Columbia

Harvard2400--

Fo shizzle..but I also heard Cornell has a high suicide rate and it's located on top of a cliff or something?? So it seems easy to die there whatnot.

Whacked out shyte.... ok and uh you didn't talk gangsta to get into Harvard, right??

Don't tell me your daddio donated G to it.......

all i know is that NYU sucks. Stern is good though. NYU probably drops to 40.

1.harvard
2.university of virginia
3.yale
4.berkeley
5.NYU
6.Tufts
7.stanford

there is no way that uva or nyu or berkeley or tufts would be that high or stanford be that low

in fact the only plausible rankings on that list are that of harvard and yale

I think Untilted nailed it!

Yup, definitely!

Wow Harvard2400 you have some of the lamest jokes I have ever heard. keep them to yourself next time

All you people who have Penn lower than 5 have it completely wrong. If anything, Penn will stay at #4 or go up to #3 and tie with Yale. Not only did Penn's yield increase for the Class of 2009, the acceptance rate also dropped...

Acceptance rate is being dropped as a measure of selectivity plus Penn experienced one of the lowest acceptance rate declines of the Ivies + a lowest increase in apps besides Yale (which experienced a decline in apps). Harvard, Princeton, Dartmouth, Cornell, Brown, Columbia, Stanford all increased their apps significantly more than Penn.

Out of the top 10, atleast 8 of them had a big increase in applications though - including Stanford, Brown, Princeton, Duke, and Cornell

Though I'm not sure which one had the largest
