UA HRC Fall 2013 Housing Move-In Information

Good morning!
Returners - if you selected a space or have been emailed that you have been assigned a space, then you can sign up for a move in time, whether or not you can see your assignment status now. There will be a link (it should be in the email you receive), or you will be able to get to the link from here: [Student Affairs | Housing & Residential Communities](http://housing.ua.edu/movein/checkin/signup.cfm)

Students who live on campus for Summer II will transition to their fall assignment earlier in the week so that we can prepare their summer rooms for the fall residents.

Hope this helps,
Janine

Txmom, I would think you would need to contact Joe, Lee, or Dr. Causey in the Early College office about that.

TxMom: Your move in date should be 7/2, I would think. My son is an RA for Early College in Lakeside this summer and he is booked that day to help with move-in.

^^^ Thank You! I was assuming that would be about the day for move in but not certain. I had tentatively put down move in the 7/1 since classes start 7/3. Trying to do this and plan our vacation around her move in day. yippie…

Yeah, I know there are reasons, but it absolutely stinks that they decided to START classes on 7/3. I think that put the hurt on many a family plan (ours included).

DH was going on about he is sure they won’t have classes on the day after the 4th. I sat there looking at him like, dude, it is summer school… there are NO holidays. Sure enough, checked the calendar and they are only off 1 day, the 4th. DD will not be going on the family summer vacation this year :frowning: Then to top it all off due to all this college stuff it is a shortened one at that. Going to move her in then head down to L.A. for a few days. Excited as I checked the concert schedule and Alabama will be in concert while there  HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!

TxMom: How fantastic! I see they will be in Orange Beach on the 5th. We stayed there last summer after we wrapped up at Bama Bound. Love that destination! Please let me know if we can be of any help to your family or your D when you get into town for Early College. My S will be one of the ones looking after her and Dr. Causey is just fantastic to work with!

Reminder - selection times now available

A little shaky at the start…first kept saying we had no info…just keep trying…got the screen with choices within a minute of constant re-tries.

Move-in scheduled! We’ll be there Friday at 1, and I may make it home before dark!

^^^^ Same here! I was a little worried after we had the returning student issue with the housing, but it was all good :)

How are you accessing this? I can’t figure it out!

How will Camp 1831 students register for move-in on August 6th? I have not received anything that confirmed they would be able to move in on that morning.

After you click Sign Up, click on the big red link at the top of the page that says “Sign Up For A Check-In Time (Sign up for, cancel or view your check-in time)”

We got in through link provided in housing’s email to DDs crimson account.

DS had logged into myBama and openned a link to:

Here is the link from the email: [Student Affairs | Housing & Residential Communities](Move-In - Housing and Residential Communities)

linnylu, I couldn’t see anything at 8. I logged off, and when I logged back in everything worked fine.

I inquired today about Camp 1831 Move in sign up and was told that there was not an official sign up but that you show up and they will be prepared for you.

Thank you longsx3! I will count on that
