UA Medicine and Community for premeds

Medicine and Community is an year long program for pre-med students who are passionate about healthcare. Throughout the program, students get the opportunity to shadow, volunteer at a hypertension clinic, hear from healthcare providers, interact with peers, and lots of other opportunities that will make them a competitive applicant. The goal is to increase their exposure to the healthcare field and provide them opportunities to become a better physician in the future.
Is this for current UA students or those who will be freshmen this fall?

I don’t think it’s for incoming frosh. I think it’s for current students who have (likely) completed some of the premed prereqs. I’m guessing that a student would have had to have demonstrated a med school worthy GPA.

I would think that it would be difficult to select incoming frosh because it would be too unknown as to whether the college classes will weed them out.
