Since a lot of students are now making their final college decisions, I want to remind folks that there are several active parent groups on Facebook if you’re seeking more information or support (or friendship!).
The two big groups are “The University of Alabama Parent Group” and “The University of Alabama Parents.” From there, you can search lists for many, MANY more subgroups. And if you’re interested in joining the Engineering parents’ group, search on “The University of Alabama College of Engineering Parents Group” and PLEASE check your “Message Requests” folder.
For those of you who will be sending off your children to Tuscaloosa for the first time this August: Welcome to the larger UA community. Whether Bama was your child’s first choice, or their last, I think you will find, like many of us, that it will be a wonderful choice for them … and you!
