UBC Hopefull, US applicant..Can I still get In? Most complicated situation everr

So My situation is as complicated as it gets. Did half my schooling in Canada, came to the California and did my junior and senior year here. Graduated top 3%, had a 4.0 w, 3.72 uw. sat score was 1740, sat subj were 590,500,540(bleh...-__-), and ap tests were 3,3,2... so i graduated 2009 and got into UCLA..woot, so i decided to go there AFTER they TOLD me that id be paying instate seeing as my dad paid taxes to the state for 3 years...wrong, affter i accepted there offer i was told id be paying intl fees which is 4X, its 50 grand a year pretty much with no financial aid..and to top the cherry the school had a 32% increase at end of the quarter. so because of that, I had to withdraw. now im applying to ubc for next year, i reallyy reallyy wanna get in. i called and because of my nonexistant post graduate career lol, theyd be considering my high school grades, which is FINE WITH ME. im proud of them, worked real hard for them so that was fine. Now I applied to Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology at UBC...later found out it was a mistake and that its in faculty of land and food services, not Sciences..sighhh they said i couldnt change it, so i decided lemme just get in, and deal with that later. SOO my status finally changes and what does it say? That I was put on hold.. dangg, i was confused just because i thought my gpa in hs was for sure strong enough for me to get into that faculty especially with friends with 3.5'sw getting in. So I called and through the calls I was told the cutoff for the faculty was at that time an 87 average, and then i later found out they translated my gpa to an 86.9..sigh okay i dont get how almost straight a's..which if your in the us you know you need a 90 to get an a- and a 94 to get an a..so im just flustered.. So they told me my application would be held off till june, if the cutoff goes up then ill be denied, and if it goes down ill get in..like for the 86.9 thing..really is .1 that important, especially feeling like i should be in the 90 range. Okay soo Im still waiting for the decision, when mcmaster accepts me..my first canadian college, and itwas a backup, but now its a serious possibility. i got an entrance scholarship for life sciences, $2000, which is given to applicants in 90-94.99 percentage range..thats where i see myself, BUT they said i have to decide by april 15 or not have guranteed acceptance, while UBC may keep me waiting till June. I just talked to a friend and she told me she knows of noone who got accepted in the summer off hold, or waitlist...and im still waiting for toronto who should decide in a month, but UBC is still my top choice, if i dont get in i will appeal asap...so can someone give me some insight as to what to expect, what to do? thanks...

I have no idea, but your situation sucks :frowning: I hope your luck turns around soon and UBC starts interpreting marks correctly.

(reading the GPA –> % conversion, my 93% average translates to a 3.67 gpa. argh)
