UC and CSU admission chances?

Do UCs need a minimum number of course/semester grades in 10 and 11? For example, if you only did 16 semesters, out of which 8 were honors, GPA would be 4.5. But doing more courses would only take your GPA lower … (example 24 with 8 honors)

You need a minimum of 15 a-g courses to be completed upon HS graduation and should have at least 11 of these courses completed at time of application in October/November. To be competitive, the majority of applicants will exceed the 15 course minimum. There is really no minimum a-g courses for 10-11th grade but both the UC and CSU GPA’s are capped at 4.4.

If you have any further questions, you should be starting your own discussion please.

I have B+ in CCC.
I’V GPA 3.84 Capped and weighted

I posted this information before but since you have a 3.84 capped weighted, you could apply to UC Merced, Riverside and Santa Cruz for the UC’s. Probably most of the CSU’s except for Cal Poly SLO, San Diego State, San Jose State and possibly Cal Poly Pomona for CS. SJSU and CPP could be options for IT.

yes thank you
