hahaha… i hope so. i got to pull out all the stops! well i guess i could have had the doc write a letter but to much stuff and i hope the documentation i have will suffice.

I think the pictures might be overkill, lol. Really try to include letters of rec that are personal and demonstrate your abilities as a student. I’m pretty sure that admissions people read about injuries every day. Students can make a small paper cut sound like decapitation. Teachers have a little more credibility in this department.

yea i see what you mean. i tryed to stay away from over hyperbolizing my appeal. i tried to stay pretty objective but i did give detail. i was just as honest as i could have been. i got a good letter of rec from a prof. at the school of social sciences, uci. so, i hope his credibilty will push me over the top

ohh and ive known that prof. for all of high school.^^^ plus he is in the same dept. as my major(chicano/lat studies)

About the letters of rec. Should they be typed or handwritten and signed at the bottom? Also should the appeal be typed??

Bump please…

it should be formally typed. My teachers each had their own headings. They then stamp my schools seal on the top. They it was manually signed at the bottom. It might be different for other teachers but that was how my rec letters looked like

YES the appeal should be typed. I guess you can handwrite it by why?

Yeah my mistake. I meant to ask how long it should be.

as long as it has to be, quality over quantity

BUMP!!!
I got into ucsc but not sb which was my dream school
this thread was totally helpful!

I’m getting a letter of rec from the head of psychology at my cc and a letter of rec from one of the biology heads at my cc. Hopefully I can make my appeal count
