UC applicants, help me out, since the UC forum isn't so useful..

<p>My mom does not remember when she became a citizen and has no clue where the documentation is. This is required information in order to submit the application.</p>

<p>She's saying it was sometime in the late 80s, so I should just put August something 1987, even though that is totally wrong. Do they really check this? What should I do?</p>
