Berkeley expensive as a public school??
You have to be kidding. Out of all the UC's, Berkeley is the more inexpensive! It's 1000 dollars cheaper than UCLA, and cheaper than the other UC's (dont remember which ones). The tuition for the whole year came out to less than 9000 bucks.

i thought all the UC's had the same base tuition??

They do...

Hey hey, lets watch it. The UC's don't have any tuitoin at all. They're supposed to be free universities for in-state. What they have are "fees."... sad thing is, the fees have increased by over 1000% in like, the past 8 years. And thats not an exxageration at all. The SF Chronicle had a great story a couple months ago about students at cal who can't afford the fees. Really is a shame, but I guess thats what we're going to continue to have if we keep electing this governor who wants to spend 70 mil on a special election while slashing funding for the educational system which is the pride of the state.

Amen to that. Lets terminate the governator.

1) UCLA-(in my dreams)
2) UCSD - (Maybe)'
3) UCI/UCD -(Probably)

EC - 9 community college courses (30 sem. units)
4 year csf member
4 year teacher of indian culture ( punjabi bruuaaahhhhh)
4 year teacher of indian dance (bhangra)
4 year active member of indian dance team

hey apsara r u from n. india or south india?

Yeah, I forgot about the tuition for out-of-staters. If you are out-of-state, then Cal will be way too expensive.
Inder.. just wondering. How well did you do in the community college courses? Community college courses can really bump up your GPA since all UC transferable courses are counted as 5 credit instead of 4. If you got all A's in community college, I think you have a good chance at UCLA. They REALLY care about how rigerous your HS years were.

hey bubbles i got 5 As and 4Bs in my courses and i took

Biology 3 B
Anthropology 101 -B
history 1 A
History 2 A

College Algebra, Afro and philosopy i took in the fall and spring semester while i was still in high school. high school in the morning and college at night and weekends.

and i took AP Language and Comp and AP Physics and Calculus and Chem(H) at high school while i was taking those courses

inderroop - east, actually - i'm bengali. but we're choreographing a bhangra for school right now, so i'm feeling the punjabi vibe, lol.

Inder, I'd give you a 35% chance at UCLA. The number of A-G courses, and college courses, if anything, almost make up for your.. abysmal SAT scores.

hey bubbles thanx for ur input...hey apsara thats pretty cool that ur making up a bhangra routine for ur school. Have u gotten accepted to ne UCs yet
