You can start your application now.

now begins the dreading application. i can’t even think about them and yet i wish they were done already!

Just don’t wait until November 30th at 10 PM to start your personal statements ;)

I’m still working on my statement and don’t see myself being done for at least a few more weeks.

how long does it take to write a personal statement??

To make absolutely perfect personal statements, I plan on using all two months!

hey guys on step 4 part 1 (academic history), do we add both our high school and college?

oops… found my answer… haha im trippin balls right now

estrellatuya, I would take at least a month and half to do it. this gives you plenty of time for rewrites and the opportunity to get it reviewed by English instructors at school and at your transfer center. if you plan on applying, then definitely start on it now.

lol that’s intense!!! i didn’t think essays mattered that much for transfers

UCLA + Cal:
If your major is impacted, it does.
Otherwise, it sort of does.

Note that the essay is usually a deciding factor if many applicants have similar stats or the applicant is borderline. GPA and Pre-Reqs matter the most IMO.

Any other UC with TAG
Essay doesn’t matter (I’ve heard they don’t even read it).

Hey offtopic a little, but does anyone know where I can find the Average GPA admits for UCSB ?

Yeah if you have a TAG already, you just have to go through the motions. Just keep your grades up.

UCSB i don’t think has stuff like that–u should call up at representative and ask them-i just did that a few days ago they are SUPER nice, warm, friendly, and willing to help :)

But I think on the transfer pamphlet they handed out it said the avg. admitted gpa was around a 3.3
hope that helps! :D

OH man. I am getting kind of scared!!!

I know this isn’t related…
but I just got back an hour ago (from the wretched traffic in) Santa Barbara, and toured the campus. It was pretty nice! Kind of insane that there is a beach attached to it haha, it was very other-worldly.
Very eco-friendly campus with mounds of bikes and happy kids.
yay :)

UCSB Can’t Wait.
