Not too bummed. I am happy with UCLA. Congrats to all that got in!
I understand this is probably not the place to talk about this, but I was wondering how people are deciding between UCLA and Berkeley. Is it solely based on statistics of how good the school is? I am concerned Berkeley may prove too challenging.
GPA 3.79

@sarah38 are you a uc davis transfer to i got accepted to ucla but im in the same situation with you but this time its grades did you defer your ucla application on accident
One stupid question. Is getting waitlisted the same as rejected? They kinda want to reject but hesitance?
Thank you for applying to the University of California, Berkeley. After carefully reviewing your application, we are not able to offer you admission at this time and would like to offer you a place on our wait list. If you choose to remain on the wait list, we will assess your application again if space becomes available after June 1, 2017.
Admission from the wait list will depend on the number of students who confirm their enrollment by our June 1 deadline. After June 1, our office will contact only those students who have elected to remain on the wait list (opt-in).
In order to accept a position on the wait list, please take the following steps:
If you wish to reserve your space on the wait list, select the link to access the Wait list Opt-in Form. To be considered for any spaces that may become available, you must opt-in no later than May 15, 2017.
Read Frequently Asked Questions below.
Select another college or university that has offered you admission, and submit your enrollment deposit by the specified deadline.
IMPORTANT: Please remember that reserving a place on the wait list does not guarantee an offer of admission.
If space is available at that point, all confirmed wait list candidates will be reviewed as a group, and Admissions staff members will offer admission to those students we believe complete the class. If you are offered admission after June 1, you will have seven days to complete your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR), pay your deposit, and apply for campus housing.
I appreciate your patience and understanding and wish you great success in your next academic endeavor. Thank you for your interest in UC Berkeley.
