congratz to those who got in - I didn’t get in… I have a 3.9 and straight A’s (except for one from years ago) but they would only take one computer science course from my CC and it’s the one I’m in now. That may have stopped me from going because UCD is correlated with my school and UCSC is as well and they take many courses and have the reps at my CC all the time. UCB is really hard to get a hold of - I was never able to see a UCB rep but I saw a UCD rep multiple times at my CC.
Seriously though, a huge congratz to those who got in especially to this major - UCB is the best in the Country for computer science and you guys will have a world class education! I wish you all the best in your endeavors.
@goldencub Hey! So I got admitted to Colleges of Letters and Science, and I want to declare as a math major for teaching. So once I go to Cal, is there specific requirements I need to meet in order to declare my major?
@Ohm888 I knew a girl who could barely pass calc 1 with a C and I have passed 1-3 with A’s but she got accepted with that C in Calc 1. I asked the UC rep at our school and she said UCB looks at personal statements. I was pretty upset that I just found out that I didn’t get in even though people doing worse then me in the same classes I take got in.
@bigvoot hi big you still have a while to even send your intent - so celebrate! also with every UC you go in as undeclared major and declare your major there.

After clicking “Set up my CalNet ID” from CalCentral, does anyone else “Forbidden: You are not allowed to view this page”? How did you guys pass that and create your CalNet IDs?
@mangobby I’m in media studies. Graduating this year. Interesting you got rejected from UCLA. What’s that about? I like the dept a lot. You can take a lot of Haas classes and it’s very interdisciplinary, which is cool.
Accepted but going to decline. The housing situation is too intense for me, plus I want out of the Bay Area lol. I chose UC Davis to transfer to.

Although UCB is a good school. there are plenty of great options out there. I also don’t think it’s all that it’s hyped up to be. Perhaps it’s just my experience with the very expensive Bay Area
