Congrats @Orangered123 !
@bugajskj I gotta win at something here RIP
Aaaand now it’s our turn! In 2 days we’ll find out the probable course of the next 2 years. I can’t decide whether I want to go out and distract myself or hole myself up at home alone this Friday.
I am more than grateful for all my admission decisions so far, and I’m hoping that Cal tops the cake! Definitely my first choice and ~dream school~ Good luck to all of us!
just got rejected by UCLA…architecture major…3.67GPA…is there any chance for Berkeley :(( They said they only accepted 3200 transfer students out of 22000…So it is pretty much like14.5% acceptance rate which is super ridiculous compare to the past which used to be 26%…I wonder if same thing gonna happen for Berkeley this year…Since it always has the lowest acceptance rate among all of the UCs…So it must be lower than 14.5% for this year? OMG I am so scared right now :((
Just coming in here to express the anxiety I have right now from waiting for Berkeley decision right now. So far I won a full ride to UC Santa Cruz (I am the Karl S. Pister leader nominee from EVC this year. Only one person gets this award in all of EVC. Im still so happy about this!) and I got into UC San Diego both for engineering.
I literally moved to California just to come to this school and worked so hard for this. Though if I don’t get into Berkeley, Santa Cruz has already shown it’s love for me as a candidate and I’ll happily go there.
They didn’t accept 3200 lol, thats how many they expect to enroll, which is similar to last year.
@BoredEngineer Omg that’s incredible!! Congrats!!!
Can’t wait. This wait is going to killlll me.
@ohm888 Thank you! UCLA’s acceptance came as a total surprise to me. I have a solid GPA but I’m missing a couple prereqs so I wrote it off. It was an amazing feeling checking the portal and it not being a rejection letter.
Getting in has made me really pumped and optimistic for Cal on Friday. I’ve been crossing my fingers and knocking on wood almost every hour. It’s crazy how superstitious I’ve gotten in the past two weeks. I hope this week ends in a really good way.
@UCLAorUCBTRNSFR Yeah, where are people getting that number from? lol I feel like UCLA must have accepted more people than that
From rejection letter lol @plsacceptmeUCs
Also, trying to plug the other transfer thread.
@akilablat Hopefully you get in. Where did people here the 3200 number? My acceptance page has nothing of that sort so I’m really confused where people said that from.
@luckybaby Ah, I see :-<
Thanks!
@BoredEngineer That’s amazing! Great job! Congratulations to you man! Hopefully Berkeley recognizes that excellence, but like you said Santa Cruz has given you a great offer. No matter what happens this friday you have a great future ahead of you.
Thanks! Also hey there! I’ve seen you around on other transfer threads. I hope you get into Cal. Congrats on getting into UCLA. I couldn’t apply to UCLA this year because I have 87 credits and the max OOS+ CCC Based transfers can have is 85.5 according to my counselor.
Just got rejected by UCLA…
architecture major
3.65 GPA
IGETC and major prep all done
Don’t have very impressive EC and personal statement…
no TAP…
Is there any chance for Berkeley…UCLA rejection letter said they only accepted 3200 transfer students out of 22000…So it is pretty much like14.5% acceptance rate which is super ridiculous compare to the past which used to be 26%…don’t konw what happen this year…I wonder if same thing gonna happen to Berkeley…Since it always has the lowest acceptance rate among all of the UCs…So it must be lower than 14.5% for this year? OMG I am so scared right now :(( UCB is my last hope otherwise I have to go to some suck universities :((
Rejected from UCLA with a 3.68 as a sociology major. They had a 38% acceptance rate last year for soc and I was in the GPA range, so I’m really not counting on Cal. Good luck everyone. I’m so scared.
@BoredEngineer Thanks! I hope we both do. All of us admits should have a college confidential meetup sometime after. Does UCLA have it’s own requirements then? I mean you applied and got accepted to Santa Cruz and SD and are waiting on Cal. Do all the colleges have their own rules on units from out of state colleges?
I just got waitlisted for UCLA. Better than rejection I guess but I hope Friday’s better. Best of luck to all!
