Guys, what’s your opinion on EECS at Princeton vs Berkeley?
Cause I’m accepted at Princeton but waitlisted at Berkeley, and I just wanted to see if it’s still worth cancelling my waitlist to give the chance to someone who doesn’t have a better option.
Thanks
Is money a factor?
Jado, you won’t be “taking” a spot by staying on then saying no, but would just delay it for someone else.
@CalDude2020 Nope.
@Back2school36 thanks i didnt know that.
Btw are we expecting a wave in about an hour?
@Jado17 Bro enta lebnene?
@ETrout1 inta lebnene kamen? theres way too many lebanese people here hahaha and also on the ucla wait list page, are u living in the states or lebanon?
@catswin Hahahahaha no way! How many Lebanese people did they waitlist? I live in Leb, you?
@Jado17 I’d take Princeton any day of the week, and that’s as someone who applied EECS
@seditiousseals thats a first.
@ETrout1 @catswin ehh and living in lebanon. What majors are you waitlisted for?
@ETrout1 yeah man for sure princeton. They’re both amazing, even though berkeley is ranked higher for eels. however, since ur out of state u won’t get any aid in berkeley where as princeton does. It depends where you wanna be too
sorry meant to tag @Jado17
@Jado17 Definitely Princeton over Berkeley. Princeton if much more prestigious even though Berkeley might be ranked higher in that major. I hear NDU is also pretty competitive :’).
@Jado17 Also, waitlisted for Mechanical engineering.
@Jado17 it also depends what type of person you are like west or east coast, however note that berkeley isn’t a typical west coast city. id choose berkeley because its in cali and from job opportunities in the silicon valley
@catswin I still think he should choose NDU.
@Etrout1 am still waiting for Aust its my top choice
@catswin yeah that’s why i’m thinking of berkeley, cause of its reputation in startups and in the silicon valley
@ETrout1 @Jado17 i wasn’t waitlisted, i appealed. what did you guys get on the sat?
hahaha yeahhhhh ofcourse, I’m assuming u guys applied AUB
@Jado17 Super hard to get into. Know someone who got rejected with a 2400 SAT.
