Weakness : Too many credits attempted in foreign country, a gap in education and some irrelevant course works presented. Major unclear so my essay had to be a broadly inclusive which might be a minus factor as being a transfer student.
@Nontradtional If you finished those 80 units in 2 years that will be a postivie factor. However if you took those by taking more than 2 years, then it might cause as a negative factor.
It is just my guess according to the information I earned past 2 years so don’t take it seriously.

Can someone elaborate on why some people got accepted for Fall 2019 and Spring 2020?
Family member had a 4.0 GPA (all pre reqs complete, very good essays, and worked while in school) as a political science major and was waitlisted while others with 3.7-3.8 are getting in. The system is so flawed.
UCLA is his number one choice, however, so the gambling continues.

@nontraditional I do not know. When they answer what they focus on to make decision, they listed that only. So I just guess that is the problem.
My counselors actually told me before that Berkely will look my resume down as I did not know what is my goal and work hard for it if I take too many courses. But I debated that I do have my goals to break down my path into 2 year, so I need AS acct to find a job to keep going to pursue Bachelor and I also study Pathway to Law to pursue law school after the bachelor.
However, I believe my counselors were right.

Congrats to everyone who got in, my first choice is UCLA but I am so thrilled to say I got into a school I’ve been admiring since I was a kid as I’m from the bay. If you didn’t get in I am so so sorry, I got rejected from all my favorite schools in freshman year and went to a school I wasn’t so happy about but I met lifelong friends that I don’t even want to leave now and I generally had a great experience so where ever you end up I can promise if you make the most of it you will have a wonderful time!
@luna0915 no, thank you so much! My school didn’t offer the transferable prereqs and I only took 2 classes in our philosophy department. That must be why ?
