@katyamzz WRT #1519, yes that is correct. In fact you probably can use Summer 2021 to finish your major as well and still participate in graduation ceremonies for Spring 2021.
Hi StudentAgain! UCLA is my dream school, with my second choice being UCI. I live in SoCal so I’m really not trying to move. What’s your top choice?
WRT #1521 - 13 to 21 unit for a semester is considered full time. The same rate of tuition is charged whether you take 13 up to 21 units. I’ll assume full financial aid means you are expected to be on full time status.
Summers are charged separately at $421 per unit.
I started a Berkeley Admit thread to share transfer information if you guys are interested: http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/2139275-berkeley-admits-class-of-2021.html#latest
If I do transfer edge program over the summer would that come out of my own pocket or would Financial aid cover that? @ProfessorPlum168
@katyamzz you’re probably paying out of your own pocket for any summer classes, but I would check with Financial Aid just to make sure.
… question answered.
this is funny! smh
Read this, if you are debating btw whether to go to UCB.

Guys I’m confused.
So I was accepted for Spring 2020, but I don’t have all the pre-requisites or IGETC done. It was planned for this semester, but due to unseen circumstances, i dropped teo classes which I updated in TAU around early March.
If I updated TAU before the deadline, they saw that I dropped my classes before being accepted correct?
@ncfitldac I think you really should go with what you had planned originally. If Davis is a better fit for you personally then go for it. I understand Berkeley is a really prestigious school but you have to decide between prestige and the ability to feel at home for 2 years. Of course, there’s always the chance of you fitting into the Berkeley culture definitely reach out to those that attend the program there and see what they say. I understand the decision is a difficult one but just make use of the time you have now and the SIR deadline to fully understand what you’re gonna be committing to. All the best.
@akwong15 congrats! I swear you are like the luckiest person ever! I remember last year when you got in at Cal then got regents at UCLA . UC to UC transfer has such low odds but here you are admitted again! Haha My daughter 4.0 sociology not admitted to Cal but has been invited to apply for regents at UCLA .She hopes that bodes well for possible acceptance there on Wed. Any regents essay tips?
Just called the Berkeley financial aid office and they said the Berkeley Transfer Scholarship is merit based scholarship and that they have no idea why my Cal Grant isnt on there but that they will submit an appeal.
Does everyones aid offer( gift aid and loan) come out to EXACTLY the amount of amount of the estimated cost of attendance. Idk why think its funny they gave me EXACTLY the same amount.
@anenglishmajor THIS IS ME TOO! @nanavn . Everyone I know has been freaking out about me getting into UCB. I didn’t plan for it, I applied because I’ve always wanted to go but I never thought I could get in. Since I was low income I got to apply to 4 UCs so I figured why not. I’m a Philosophy major. I also have fears regarding the competitive environment combined with being pretty isolated from my entire life in SoCal. My biggest hurdle however, was that they offered me no financial aid-- Their housing is about 20k a year, and I didn’t even get offered that. I’m a junior (32 years old) right now so I’m trying to weigh what makes the most sense financially as well.
@AeroDE i’m not sure whether or not that was a serious question, but either way, that’s hilarious lol
Can someone help me understand this…
School choice in order from first to last – UCI, UCLA, UCSB, UCSD, UCB
Why would I get into UCB and UCI, but get waitlisted at UCSB?
Can anyone tell me if they’ve heard anything good about the college of chemistry? I got admitted as a chem major, and applied to ucla for biochem. Given that I get accepted to UCLA too, I know I’m gonna have major decision-anxiety  so if anyone can give me some insight id really appreciate it
@Ohm888 I was admitted as a political economy major but im contemplating on switching to Econ since that was my major previously at a 4-year. Also looking into minoring in data science once it becomes available
@neilsola did you get into haas?
@katyamzz no
@misseskite each UC has their own holistic selection criteria. It’s not hierarchical at all like most people would think. My own personal experience with my kid, got accepted to UCB, UCD, UCSB but waitlisted at UCI and UCSD.
