Super late, but I figured it would be around 50/50 for your admission. Congrats on getting in!
Hi Guys!! I am so happy I got accepted, however I have a question, Do I have to send my High school diploma? In my to do task in my Cal central just appears the IGETC and my college transcript, there is not a box about High school, but in the condition of admission appears “Your official high school transcript, GED, or Proficiency Examination documents with the date of graduation” in documents require. I am confused.
GPA/ MAJOR GPA/ UC GPA

Applying to what schools?
Accepted, here are my stats:
3.5/3.75?/3.5
Former babysitter, math tutor, law enforcement intern/volunteer.
My PI questions heavily referenced by extracurricular activities / jobs.
Didn’t apply for financial aid, there are other people who need it way more than I do. I doubt I would qualify anyways.
Intended major: Statistics.
In-state.
California Community College in LA County.
Male.
$300,000+
Want to get into quantitative finance and UCB seems like a good school with strong STEM programs, computing-based statistics and proximity to Silicon Valley.
Strengths: Good personal statements and high course load. I have attended school full time FALL 2018 - present including winter and summer sessions. Also my job is relevant to my intended career path.
Weaknesses: Relatively low GPA from a Community College and lack of extracurriculars.
Congrats to everyone that got in.

I was admitted for economics. However I found out you have to declare and be admitted in your first semester as a transfer. How hard is it to declare the major?
@shredder47 depends on how good your math skills are. I’d say Stat20 is harder then the Econ class but Econ at Berk is just calculus classes with applications of econ.
So you just need to pass both classes? Or like get As in both
You need a 2.7 GPA (B- Average) in both courses to be able to declare the econ major, and you have to apply for the major during your first semester at UC Berkeley. Check this out for all of the information about declaring the major: https://www.econ.berkeley.edu/undergrad/prospective/transfer-students
